038Games “powered by Windesheim and Cibap” has organized the Global Game Jam 2017 in Zwolle.
The Global Game Jam is an international Jam-event and ran in 2017 in the weekend from January 20th – 22th, with the theme WAVES.
The goal of the event is to bring people together to design and build a game in 48 hours with teams of people who may have never worked together.
In 2017 more then 40.000 jammers worldwide attended, in the Netherlands more then 900 jammers were working.
The event was hosted by Cibap in it’s “Ontwerpfabriek” (Design Factory):
Students from Windesheim and Cibap worked together on the organization, planning, communication and entertainment.
In preparation students designed a logo, t-shirt, a flag and poster:
The event attracted 40 participants, designers, artist and programmers, who in eight teams created nice games.
A two person jury of Teun Lucassen and Duco van der Wiele choose Please Wave as the best game.

During the game students from Cibap (Laura, Robin & presenter Christian took footage for vlogs. They created 7 episodes and an after movie
